Let’s Pay Off Our School Building—So We Can Invest in Our Kids’ Future

New Bloomfield Community Christian School is growing—and so are our dreams. In the winter of 2024, the Lord graciously opened up a door of opportunity to purchase a large church building on 5 acres that would work perfectly for the permanent home of NBCCS. We were able to buy it for an extremely low price, a total miracle done by God! With this purchase, of course, came a mortgage that we now pay monthly. For the past 5 months, we have been focused on our “1,000 challenge,” where we challenged friends and family members to graciously give $1,000 to help us pay off the school building and land. Since then, we have raised $17,000! We are now asking you, would you help us pay off the remaining $22,000? By paying off the building, we can free up funds to pour directly into what matters most: our students.

When the building is debt-free, we can:

  • Offer more scholarships, making Christ-centered education accessible to more families.

  • Upgrade our playground, creating a safe and exciting space for outdoor fun.

  • Renovate our Big Room into a gymnasium, giving students a true indoor sports and recess area.

Every gift moves us closer to financial freedom and opens the door to bigger opportunities for the children we serve.

Your support today builds a stronger tomorrow—for our school, our families, and our community.

A Beautiful Testimony

written by Amanda Rasmussen, a mother to two of our students.

A mother's hands and feet are always busy but sometimes trials in life shake us so much that we do not know where we are going. I had felt this way before Shiloh was given a scholarship his first year at New Bloomfield Community Christian School. Our family had been involved in some life altering highs and lows and we had reach past what we were able to bear alone and that's where I witnessed God stepping in and handling the reins, like the mighty gentleman he is.

A child's education is their foundation for catapulting them into who they become. I knew this as a mom and it haunted my heart for many years. My faith and personal convictions were under heavy attack for many years by societies pressures and spiritual warfare. You see my two boys were visibly slipping through the cracks in a broken system and no matter how many conversations I had with the public schools, I wasn't breaking through.

Coupled with our moral failures in society that left their father and I baffled with the question of ' What in the world are we teaching our children?'. I was set like flint to hold it all together with grit. I was aware of their need for help and to plant them in a community where they could grow roots and thrive. I needed a staff who believed in them to be the best they can be. I just didn't know where to find this community, where were God's people? When other avenues failed, God stepped in and showed up.

Now both my sons are going with a scholarship and they have found their niche and a place to thrive. They both can't keep their noses out of a book and come home with a smile on their face and an assignment they are proud to show me. I can see the environment improving their quality of life and faith, and the power of God being used to shape their character and I know step by step they are going to get there, to the places they need to be. I can't say thank you enough for the community that believes in them and the Christians who have come along side of our family to help carry some of our burdens that weighed on us so heavily. I know God has a plan and a hope and a future but we must never give up on his ability to do it.
