Lana Lucas is a mother, grandmother, teacher/educator, and experienced childcare director. Since she and her husband Larry made New Bloomfield their home in 1972, Lana has resided in New Bloomfield for nearly 50 years. Seeing the need for childcare in this area in 1988, Lana and Larry built Little Flowers School & DayCare, continuing their life's work and ministry in caring for and teaching children for 30 years until their retirement in 2018. In January this year, Larry went to be with our Lord. With her focus on the future education of our children, Lana looks forward to again working with children and is committed to supporting Christian education in this community by serving on this board for NBCCS and by providing after-school childcare for local families at NBCCS.
Lana has a passion and vision for the children of New Bloomfield, saying, “My goal in this life has always been to radiate the love of Jesus to children that I have had the privilege to teach and love through caregiving. Being a part of quality Christian education for children in this community means this: guiding our children in securing a solid foundation, based on God's Word, which will stand the test as they travel through life in this world. As Proverbs 22:6 admonishes: ‘Train up a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.’ I look forward to giving my time and talents to this work.”
